With the staggering amount of content that gets added to the Internet each day, many small business owners don’t know where to begin when they start to look for venues to engage their customers online.
I’d like to recommend two more resources that are gaining popularity quickly and should be on the radar for small business owners
1) Biznik.com – Site which connects small business owners in specific cities with fellow business owners. Biznik is a good place to learn from other small business owners who likely are experiencing similar things to your operation. The site allows you to post “needs” the community can see and respond to. If you have a specific question or small project, posting a “need” on Biznik is a good place to start looking for the solution. The site also has specific sections dedicated to cities. Using North Carolina as an example, they have Greensboro marketing, Chapel Hill marketing and Raleigh marketing sections currently.
2) Merchant Circle – This site plays the other side of the “question” coin. Interested consumers post queries on the site about specific topics, which you can answer if your business has expertise in the area. Answering industry-specific questions online is one of the best ways to generate targeted leads for your business.
I hope you find these sites helpful as online resources for your small business. If you know of any others I’m leaving off of the list, please let me know in the comment section.
