Infrastructure Design
Build an interactive Web hub

  • Deliverable: Three Ships Media (TSM) creates a blog platform via WordPress.
  • Activity:  Write, edit, and post blogs, articles, videos, and pictures from one content management system.  No prior Web or blogging experience necessary.
  • Value:  The blog platform will enable to engage a new readership and call it to action.  TSM will absorb real-time feedback from reader questions and comments, and share thoughts inspired by that feedback.
  • Optional:  Upgrade any account to a custom-designed Web site with New Media Campaigns, TSM’s partner for web infrastructure. 

Monitor Brand
Initial benchmark reports

  • Deliverable: TSM reviews the competitive position.
  • Activity: TSM produces a benchmark report on competitors.  This is delivered at the outset of the relationship.
  • Value: A deep understanding of end-customer sentiment about the client’s brand and competitors’ share of conversation informs strategy.

Content Generation
Post comments on relevant blogs

  • Deliverable:  TSM drafts Web-logs and article comments.
  • Activity:  Comments are opinions, questions, or statements that further the online conversation around a compelling article, blog, or news story.  TSM will read blogs and articles on local, national, and niche sites and respond from a viewpoint representing the interests of our client.
  • Value:  Comments will increase visibility within the blogosphere by adding personality and increasing the volume of genuine interaction.  Posting in targeted niches and outlets, increases the number of valuable touch points as opinions, offers, and insights will speak directly to parties interested in the industry.

Create and publish content for the client blog

  • Deliverable:  TSM writes substantive Web-logs (blog).
  • Activity:  Write a 300-500 word opinion-driven article focusing on current events, interest trends, company developments, and other arenas the client like to channel a voice
    • Base Content: Keyword-rich content that serves primarily to boost search rank while also providing basic commentary and information.
    • Branded Content: Finely-tuned, highest quality content that serves primarily to deeply engage your audience around complex issues.
  • Value:  Blogs will deepen engagement with customers and increase the amount of research available to readers. They ensure that when our clients are optimized for ranking in search engines like Google, the desired content will be at the forefront.  The more blogs online, the better controlled the message.

Create micro-blogs our clients

  • Deliverable:  TSM posts Micro-blogs (short messages on Twitter or Facebook).
  • Activity:  Similar to blogs (though shorter), micro-blogs are opinionated posts (140 characters, 20-30 words) often appearing in the form of Facebook status updates or Twitter “tweets.”  They are disseminated faster and more often than blogs with the intention of facilitating barrier-less, real-time communication.
  • Value:  Micro-blogs target specific constituencies and user groups with actionable information.  Sharing content with a Facebook group or with a Twitter hashtag allows CBI to spread a message to a receptive audience.

Promote Content
Social platform participation

  • Deliverable: TSM oversees three company social networks.
  • Activity:  TSM will create a profile (if one does not already exist), upload basic background information, aggregate friends, and join related groups where appropriate.  This will introduce the company to the online social community.
  • Value:   The client consistently engage directly with consumers in a fast-growing arena.  Social networks are where millions go for information or to voice an opinion, and an active presence can be a key customer driving activity. 

Content platform participation         

  • Deliverable:  TSM submits all content on three news platforms.
  • Activity:  Every blog will be published on a content aggregating and sharing platform like Reddit, StumbleUpon, or Digg.  TSM can utilize niche sites too.
  • Value:  This form of promotion will increase the visibility of the content created, as posting on these sites can drive attention to home blogs and social media profiles.  The TSM content team has well-established reputations on many outlets, making it likely that blogs will gain significant attention.

Analytics
Monthly tracking reports

  • Deliverable: TSM produces one in-depth monthly report.
  • Activity:  TSM scours the blogosphere, online news, and social networks using personality, comment, engagement, and traffic trackers to determine the client’s online standing.  We will also determine the volume of conversations surrounding an issue, the peak days and times when those conversations take place, the most popular arenas for the conversation, and the most successful methods for engaging participants so as to maximize visibility and effectiveness.
  • Value:  Client gains insight into precisely where it stands in the online community, and TSM will determine how to maximize continuing impact.

Client Communication
TSM maintains a commitment to efficient customer service

  • We respond to any email inquiry or request within 24 hours. 
  • The TSM client onboarding process contains a mapped out first 60 days of the engagement, aligning expectations and provide visibility into the TSM process.
  • TSM conducts monthly evaluations to: 1) review monthly metric report; 2) answer logistical questions pertaining to the package details; and 3) discuss content and social network strategy moving forward.

Marketing Integration
TSM actively integrates all efforts with existing marketing staff to ensure that the online marketing channel is providing a multiplier effect to those offline.
